Did Al Capone ever escape Alcatraz?

Sure looks like it. The police was right on his tail and caught him in Almaden QuickSilver Park.

Two versions of the same picture. Not sure which one I like the best.

Moon Eclipse

I didn't think we were going to be able to see the moon eclipse. We've had some real bad weather these past days. Rain, wind, grey sky ... But nature was kind to us tonight. We had the opportunity to look at the moon eclipse. It was awesome!

Sutro Baths

Last Friday I went to Sutro Baths again. I love that place. There are so many things to take pictures of. This time I spent most of my time on the little beach near the Cliff House. The moss on the boulders on the beach is nice and green. And now with my new 11-16mm Tokina lens I can capture them in the foreground of this beautiful sunset.

Yosemite

The other weekend we went to Yosemite with the intention of climbing Half Dome. Tough luck. On Sunday morning 4am it started to rain. Disgruntled, we packed our bags and went home.
These pictures were taken on Saturday. A storm moved through the valley then too. I hope the people that were on top of Half Dome were able to come down safely.

Bodie and Mono Lake

I went to Bodie and Mono Lake with my brother-in-law last weekend. We had a blast taking pictures in this extremely beautiful part of California.

Sutro Baths

I went to Sutro Baths in San Francisco this weekend. I had heard about this place before and had seen many beautiful pictures taken by other photographers. It was time to explore the ruins myself.

Almaden QuickSilver Park

Happy Valentines Day!! A few more pictures of Almaden QuickSilver Park I took today. These are straight from the camera and adjusted in LightRoom, no HDR this time. For once I was not lazy and used my graduated G2 filter (Cokin) in the field. On top of that, I used the one in LightRoom. That sun is bright.

Round Valley Regional Preserve

These are non-HDR pictures of Round Valley Regional Park in Clayton, CA. I had to go to a client in Livermore and decided to bring my camera and hike in this little regional park. I had been there once before a few weeks back to check out the green hills on Vasco Road. Things are so much more beautiful when there is water ...

Oak Grove Park

Between rain storms the sun came out. I rushed out to a nearby park to take some pictures. I've been enjoying HDR. I'm taking three to five exposures of every composition lately. This one is from 5 different exposures (0,-1,+1,-2,+2). I'm digging it.

We went on a hike in Almaden QuickSilver park on Saturday. I took my new camera bag on the hike. These pictures were taken at English Camp. They are HDRs from three exposures.
